The reason we chose this topic over all the other ones we had in mind, is because we´ve always been fascinated by these kind of things, we see all these stories, tales, and, more like an escape from reality. Plus they are hell of fun :D.

The principal research question that we came upon was ¨What makes a fantasy a fantasy?¨, later on we had to change it to ¨What makes fantasies, myths, folklore and more dreamlike themes?¨.

 

The reason behind it was because we couldn´t name our project ¨Fantasies¨. We came to the conclusion that a fantasy, myth, fairy tale, and folklore are very similar but, different.

 

We mostly surfed the web looking for all the info we needed, but also from our own knowledge. (Unfortunately we couldn´t find any books related to our subject in the main library, at least not in English)

Therefore, after all of this research, we can say that they all have something in common, they are fanciful topics, with magic involved, and situations not possible in our realistic world.
